The Bubba Nosferatu screenplay is done!

Bubba Director Don Coscarelli has a finished script for Bubba Nosferatu.

In an interview with iF Magazine Don Coscarellis has confirmed that the script for Bubba Nosferatu is done and dusted. This has to be a big indicator that the movie *really* is on its way. There has been minimal confirmed information about Bubba Nosferatu and so it is nice to hear that things are happening! The relevant section of the interview is as follows: "iF: OK, what about a PHANTASM 5 then? COSCARELLI: Well, I’ve already got a completed script right here and would really love to work with the original cast one more time. Anchor Bay is starting to finance movies and they are eager to get us to make another film, but it is a function to find the time. Right now my full-time job is working on the sequel to BUBBA HO-TEP. iF: "Since you brought it up, what’s the status of BUBBA NOSFERATU AND THE CURSE OF THE SHE-VAMPIRES? Is it still called that?" COSCARELLI: "...Right now I’ve got the screenplay done and am really trying to get it done this year. I figure in a month or two we will have a real announcement...." iF: "Can you give me any details about the film?" COSCARELLI: "My full-time job is that movie now, but sorry, I can’t give you any more info." iF: "And Bruce Campbell is signed on for it?" COSCARELLI: "Bruce wants to play Elvis again, but he did just get cast in a TV series, BURN NOTICE. The BUBBA HO-TEP experience was amazing for both Bruce and I because we had both success and it was almost like revisiting early success and generating early interest. I hope he will be on board."
